Is your doctor taking the time to listen to you?
In our fast-paced lives, it’s time to get back to the way that doctors used to treat. Sitting with the client, getting to know their lifestyle, goals, health concerns and stress factors are all part of slow medicine. What is slow medicine? Slow medicine is getting to the root cause of dis-ease. This encompasses the doctor taking time with her client to interview, answer questions, and find possible solutions to the client’s health concerns. The traditional allopathic medicine in Western culture in combination with our fast-paced lives leads to mis-diagnosis and over-medication of health conditions. This “quick fix” solution is only resulting in the worsening of symptoms and prolonging of the dis-ease.
Slow medicine generally involves a minimum of a 30 minute session, so the client has time to relax and form a bond with the holistic doctor. That way, no questions are left unanswered.
